Hello everyone! What I’m going to show you today must be the most fab thing I’ve ever had on my nails and I’m not going to hide that it’s inspired of The Swatchaholic!
I have a new, very good friend who has started to get her nails done by me about once a week. And she just got back from Germany where she was in Berlin and some city in Poland and did a little nail polish shopping for me. The two Golden Rose polishes came from her, not sure where she bought them though.. Give me a shout if you’re interested and I’ll ask her! 🙂
Well, let’s get to the nails, this is Golden Rose 194 by it’s own:
And here it is with Golden Rose 166 on top:
And now, the awesomeness! With KleanColor Chunky Holo Black on top of that:
This really deserved 3 pictures! Im in awe! And can’t get enough of looking at my nails! WOW 😀
The Golden Rose polishes were a dream to apply, the blue was a 2-coater and I had one coat of the glitter one. The glitter spread perfectly, not like some glitter polishes where you either get nothing or you get too much all lumped.
Apart from that the KleanColor polishes really STINK, they really are lovely. Great to apply, looks fantastic and dries pretty fast.
So, what do you think of this?
Take Care, everyone 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
Good morning 🙂
When this is getting posted I’m probably sound asleep in my bed. I’m writing this now, before I go to bed 🙂
Tonight we’ve had a really great evening. Some really good friends of us took the initiative to invite all our closest friends, so we were all in all five couples, for dinner. And we actually managed to be there, every single one of us, even though it’s in the middle of summer holidays and Kenneth being back and forth from the hospital (he’s finally home for now at least :)).
We have such a great bunch of friends and all of us get along so well that it’s a real pleasure to spend time together 🙂
If any of you guys read this post, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS GREAT NIGHT 🙂
Well, on to the polish, I want to show you Orly Bailamos from the Viva Collection from last summer (2010).
It’s quite an interesting colour, as it’s a turquoise that has a good hint of teal in it I think. I must say I love it 🙂 (as always.. haha)
And I don’t really have many Orly polishes, but I have to say that they do surprise me every time with the great formula and application. This was almost a one-coater, in the pictures I have 2 thin coats.
Looking at this picture makes me want to repaint my nails again. I am officialy IN LOVE with this colour! ♥ ♥
Take Care, everyone 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
Just a quick post to show you one of the header images.
I just couldn’t wait using it in the header, so now I of course have to show you.
As base I used Gosh Lavender Love which is a beautiful creme from Gosh’s Special Edition.
And here with KleanColor Chunky Holo Teal on top:
I think this turned out FANTASTIC! 😀 I have made a ring with the same polishes as well and off all the rings I’ve made there’s no doubt that’s my favourite so far at least.
God night everyone!
xx Karoline! 🙂
Hello everyone! 😀
I have another beautiful one to show you today. OPI Coral Reef is from the Summer For Shore Collection from all the way back in 2003. One of OPI’s best collections without a doubt. This is my second polish from this collection, I also own Blue Moon Lagoon and I’m seriously lemming for Sand-erella!
Please click to view all the awesomeness! 🙂
This is a seriously gorgeous holo. I used 3 coats, but it was a dream to apply and it dried fast.
I think it looks abit like OPI DS Couture and as I’m lucky enough to own that as well I might do a comparison one day if anyone is interested? 🙂
Do you own any of the polishes from the Summer For Shore Collection? If yes, which ones?
After this week I will have alot of time on my hands, I’m having 3 weeks holiday from work, but not sure if we’re going anywhere as Kenneth’s in the hospital. Hopefully he might get home tomorrow, but we never know..
In my time off I’ll definately make more jewelry and I HAVE TO get that spreadsheet sorted. Only, I have no idea how to use excel… Eeek! I just have to figure it out somehow..
Enough blabber from me tonight.. I have to go to bed, so so tired! Nightynight everyone! 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
Hello everyone! Hope you’ve all had a great weekend?
Mine has been a blast! It’s so much fun to have Cecilie here! 🙂 Even though it’s exhausting!! 😉 We have visited friends, been out in town, had drinks, had a great girls night in with alot of nail polish and a nice walk at the beach with friends and dog (in pouring rain) 🙂
She left this morning back to Oslo. The time goes so fast! 😦 Thanks, Cecilie for a great weekend! 🙂
Well, over to the polish I want to show you today. The first time I saw this polish I was chatting with Cecilie on Facebook and I linked it to her and said: “How much ME is this??” And she replied something like: “no shit, you HAVE to have this!”
So, of course, I had to get it and here it is; Orly Here Comes Trouble:
This is only 2 coats, witha 3rd one it would be completely opaque! For everyone who knows me this really should be named after me 😉 Everything about it is just “Karoline” 🙂
I have also made rings and earrings with this one. One day I have to take pictures of all the jewelry I’ve made so I can show you 🙂
I also have a plan of making some sort of spreadsheet over my nail polish collection. Wow, that’ll be some job! 😀
Now I’ve got to go and get ready for making dinner. My BF is coming home from the hospital for dinner tonight and I can’t wait! ♥ 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
We finally have internet again, abit earlier than we thought as the landlord have fixed the internet, but we’re still getting our own installed as the internet provider the landlord has is not very trustworthy.. One day theres signal, another day there’s not.. 😛
One day I was just looking around eBay I stumbled over this beauty, and as you probably hear from the name this is a christmas polish from the OPI Holiday Wishes collection 2009. I present to you OPI Merry Midnight:
So beautiful that it deserves more than 1 picture! 🙂 Please click to enlarge them.
It’s when it’s sunny this one should be worn to be able to see all the beautiful details!
This is a now HTF polish that has a dark purple jelly base with blue/purple glitter and silver microshimmer, and irregular flakies that flash orange, red, green and yellow.
Can you believe it?? I have never seen such a great polish from OPI! Why don’t they make polishes like this more often?
The application was flawless, this is 2 coats with one coat of SV on top. And the best thing, I was dreading the removal, but it wasn’t really a problem at all!! Yay! 🙂
Seriously, if you don’t already have this one, you HAVE to get it before it’s too late! 🙂
Tomorrow my best friend who lives in Oslo is coming to visit, so I don’t think there’ll be alot of blogging this weekend, but you’ll definately hear from me on Monday 🙂
Take Care everyone!
I’m SO sorry for not updating the past days!!!
We though we had included internet in our rent, but suddenly we didn’t receive any signal and we found out that the internet is not included in the landlord-agreement.
We’ve made an appointment with Telenor to come and install internet in our apartment, but that’s not until 04.07! 😦
I can blog small posts from my iPhone on 3g network, but it won’t let me upload photos.
Here you have one though:
My very first try making jewelry with nail polish! How cool is this??
This is Gosh Lavender Love + KleanColor Chunky Holo Teal on top.
Have a nice week or so and I will blog again VERY soon! And I’m taking pictures all the time so I have alot to show you as well! 🙂
Hello everyone! 🙂
Hope you’ve all had a nice weekend! Gosh, it went by very fast! My mum had her birthday yesterday and celebrating it both yesterday and today with barbeque and cakes and also a very good friend of us have finished her Masters Degree and invited us all to celebrate on saturday and she served cake as well. Wow! We’ve eaten alot!! haha..
I did a mani last night that ended up a disaster! haha.. I have to prepare myself for posting it! 😛 I didn’t have time last night, but today I redid my nails as soon as I had time and this time I tried out OPI’s Navy Shatter on top of China Glaze IDK from the OMG collection.
Funny how Blue Shatter ends up being the last one I’ll test out of the three blue-toned shatters from OPI..
Here you have beautiful China Glaze IDK on it’s own:
I think this is one of my favourite nail polishes. Well, at least a safe one. I’ll always love my nails wearing this one, so if I can’t decide what to wear I might put this one on! 🙂
And here with a coat of OPI Navy Shatter on top and then 2 coats with Seche Vite to seal it on top of that:
I’m happy with this one as well.. Haha, I feel like I’m saying that about everything lately! (Apart from my disastrous mani earlier this weekend)
There’s so many pretty colours and combinations! If only I had the time to change twice a day! (Thank god really, that wouldn’t be very nice to my nails..)
Hope you enjoyed this one!? 🙂
Any of you who have any of the China Glaze OMG polishes or OPI Shatters? If yes, which ones? 🙂
Have a great start on a new week everyone! 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
I just have to show you my beautiful niece, Sofie!
She’s the one always commenting on my nails, looking at every single fingertip one by one.. 🙂
Isn’t she just adorable? 🙂 I absolutely love this little girl! ♥
She also has a little brother who is 8 weeks old and also a cutie. I have to show you him as well one day! 🙂
Good Friday everyone! Yay! It’s finally weekend, even though I was lucky and started my weekend when I got home from work yesterday! 😛
Of the 3 blue-toned OPI shatters I was most excited about Blue Shatter for some reason. But, when I saw them in real life there’s no doubt that Turquoise Shatter is my favourite! So it had to be the first one to get used.
I put it on top of one coat of OPI Mod About You with one coat of OPI Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry Collection on top.
Here you have Mod About You + Teenage Dream, a very cute combination that reminds me of candy floss:
The pictures are taken outside in daylight, but with rain and dark clouds in the air. No sun here in Stavanger! Just wondering when summer is going to start…
I really liked this combination on its own, proper girly-girl! 🙂
And now it’s time for the Turquoise Shatter:
I really enjoy this! It is certainly alot of fun 🙂 My niece loved them! 🙂
Too bad there’s no sun here, you should have seen how much this sparkles! But I guess anyone familiar with Teenage Dream knows that 🙂
So, what do you guys think of this? 🙂
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend! Hopefully a sunny one! 😉
xx Karoline 🙂
