Oh god, I’m becoming “one of them”.
One of those bloggers who always promises to blog more, come back stronger blah blah..
Ok, I’m going to stop promising anything and just blog when I feel like it. It’s not like it’s a duty. It’s supposed to be fun and for some reason as soon as I HAVE to do something it’s not much fun anymore 😛 haha
Anyhow, this is the one polish I got in Risør, when I was there. And old Sally Hansen polish, but a new one to us here in Norway.
This is my first try with the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes and this is my thoughts:
I love the bottle and the lid. It’s larger than I thought after just seeing pictures of it.
The brush stick is LONG and flat and both are negatives to me because it just takes some getting used to as its unusually long and when it’s flat it grabs polish like crazy and you really have to wipe it off well to prevent getting a huge drop on the nail.
The brush bristles are wide and curved kind of like IsaDora and YSL polishes, I know many of you in the nail polish world hate this brush, but personally, I love it. It fits my nails perfectly.
The formula on this particular one is abit weird. There’s no problem applying it and it looks very pigmented, but you still see the nail line through.. Weird.
On the picture I show you here I have 3 coats! It also dries a shade darker than it is in the bottle.
Right. Here you have Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Grass Slipper:
I LOVE the colour though!! I was looking at my nails ALL the time when wearing it and I have also painted my toes in the same colour.
So, what do you guys think? 🙂 Do you own any of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes?
I also layered another polish over this one after a day, can anyone guess which one? I’ll show you that next! 🙂
xx Karoline! 🙂
Hello everyone! I am SO sorry I suddenly disappeared! And soon I will disappear again. But that’s summer I guess..
Today I want to show you what happened to OPI Norwegian Salmon after a day. I got kind of bored of the plain creme finish so I had to spice it up abit 😉
I layered it with KleanColor Chunky Holo Poppy and then Essie Kisses And Bises on top of that.
And this is how it ended up! How pretty is that? 🙂
Kisses And Bises is from the French Affair Collection from Spring 2011 and I have had it for quite some time, but haven’t tried it until now. It’s pretty boring on it’s own, but very pretty layered 😀
What do you think of this combination? Like it?
So, hope you’re all having a nice summer! I really hope you bear with me on my off days! I will be back stronger than ever soon 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
The time has come, for me to show you OPI Norwegian Salmon from Scandinavian Collection from 1994, I must be honest and say that it’s nothing special apart from the name 😉
This is 2 coats, with a third one it would have been completely opaque, but there’s more VNL in the pics than in real life.
A day ago since I mentioned how I rarely wear red, and then I post another reddish colour in 2 days 😛
Well, this is more of a burnt orange/coral in my eyes. I did like it alot, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the hazzle of getting it..
Heres the bottle, those of you who own any OPI polishes will see the difference 😛
So what do you think? Do you like it? 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
Oh, I must say I think I’m very creative with my titles! Haha 🙂
Well, this is a mani I had last week, I haven’t been blogging for that long, so I don’t think any of you have gotten the feeling of actually knowing me, that you get after following a blog for a while, but I can say one thing; You very rarely see me in Pinks and Red. Im more of Purple, Blue and Green girl and sometimes an Orange and Coral girl 😛
So, this is one of the few times you get to see me wearing red:
This is 2 coats of OPI Off With Her Red from the Alice in Wonderland Collection from Spring 2010 with 2 coats of KleanColor Chunky Holo Scarlet on top.
I’m now way over half way in my spreadsheet 🙂 Spent 10 hours or so on it yesterday. So soon I will be able to share it with you if anyone is interested? And then you can also give me requests from the list if there’s anything you want me to show you.
I just got OPI Norwegian Salmon from Scandinavian Collection from all the way back in 1994!! I got it mainly because of the name, but it’s also a beautiful coral (salmon). I think that’ll be the next thing I’ll show you. It’s so old that even the print on the bottle is different.
Today we are going to celebrate Kenneth’s nephews 6 year old birthday and eat cake. Wohoo! 😀
Take Care everyone!
xx Karoline 🙂
Just a quick post to show you one of the header images.
I just couldn’t wait using it in the header, so now I of course have to show you.
As base I used Gosh Lavender Love which is a beautiful creme from Gosh’s Special Edition.
And here with KleanColor Chunky Holo Teal on top:
I think this turned out FANTASTIC! 😀 I have made a ring with the same polishes as well and off all the rings I’ve made there’s no doubt that’s my favourite so far at least.
God night everyone!
xx Karoline! 🙂
Goooood Tuesday everyone!
Oh, god it was hard work getting out of bed and to work this morning after this lovely long weekend we’ve had here in Norway! 😛
Last night a girlfriend of mine came to visit. She lives in Halifax, Canada usually, so I only get to see her once or twice a year. Was soo nice to see her again! 🙂
While she was here I painted my nails with OPI Jade is the New Black. I have had this for a while but never tried it before. Great application. Just like a typical OPI. I was supposed to layer it with Ozotic Pro 502 straight away, but I liked it so much that I just had to wear it on it’s own for a day:
I took this picture last night after my friend left about 22.00 and it was still light enough outside to take this picture and you get a true representation of the colour, but not enough light to get one of those clear pictures that I like 😛
As you can se on the bottle cap, it was rainy! Oh, what a summer we have!
Today, when I got home from work I had to try Ozotic Pro 502 on top as planned.
I received a pallet of stock today at work, so of course I had quite abit of tip wear and just couldn’t be bothered to paint the tips as I’m probably changing this again tomorrow if I know myself well enough.
So here you have it, with tip wear:
Isn’t this a beauty? I really like it on top of OPI Jade is the New Black as well.
I’ve got to get some more Ozotic Pro polishes! So far I’m very impressed!
Have a lovely evening peeps! Hope you enjoyed this post!?
Hello everyone! 🙂
I am so happy today is a red day on the calendar. Me and Kenneth, my boyfriend, were in his nephew’s christening yesterday. A wonderful day with alot of impressions that also makes you very tired at the end. 🙂
Today I have OPI Mermaid Tears from The Pirates of the Caribbean Collection to show you. With a bit of a twist on how to use the Shatter polishes. I have done this alot with black shatter before I started this blog, sometimes with different angles on each nail. This time I chose to only use it on two accent fingers;
Hope you like it! 🙂
And have a great Monday everyone! 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
Hello everyone 🙂
Today I got Gosh Lavender Love on offer at Vita here in Norway. When I came home and swatched it on a nailwheel with the rest of my blues I saw that it was pretty similar to Isa Dora Miami Blue only a couple of shades darker.
I figured I wanted to try Konad with these two and I ended up really liking the end result. For those of you not familiar with Konad stamping, have a look here.
I used Miami Blue as a base, stamped with Lavender Love on top and then sealed it all with a coat of Seche Vite, check it out:
Using Konad plate M51.
What do you think? I really like it! 🙂
Take Care and have a great Saturday evening everyone!
Today I have 3 of the Isa Dora spring/summer nail polishes for you; 712 Ocean Drive, 711 Miami Blue and 626 Blue Sky.
This is the first time in MANY years I have tried Isa Dora nail polishes, which is a bit weird when you think of how easy they are to get here in Norway.
In the beginning I was a little sceptical to the brush. It’s huge! Long, with short bristles and very wide. BUT, perfectly formed! So if applied correctly, it’s enough with one stroke to cover the whole nail and it was not too big for my little pinkie either.
It also says on the bottle that they’re quick dry and I don’t always believe that and stick to my Seche Vite to make them dry faster, but these really do dry fast!! So for all of you with no time and want pretty nails quickly, these are perfect!
SO all in all very happy! 🙂 Definately getting more Isa Dora nail polishes when I get a chance! 🙂
Isa Dora 712 Ocean Drive.
Beautiful Colour! Perfect for the summer with tanned skin! Ooh, I’m in love! 🙂
Opaque in one thick coat. This is two thin coats.
Isa Dora 711 Miami Blue.
Another beautiful color and the same formula and finish as Ocean Drive.
Isa Dora 626 Sky Blue.
This one I did as a full mani. In the bottle it was my favourite, but have to be honest and say that I liked the two cremes better after I swatched them.
This is still a beautiful colour with a very nice shimmer. Two coats.
You can click on all the pictures to see them bigger.
Hope you’re all having a nice and sunny sunday!
Last night a friend of mine came to visit me and to get her nails done. We had SO much fun! Can’t remember last time a night flew by that fast! 🙂 Thanks Camilla!
After I did her nails and had eaten enough chocolate I got started on my own nails. I started with two coats of OPI Rumple’s Wiggin which I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of by it’s own as it was late and there was no daylight to take pictures in.
But here you have it with another two coats of OPI’s “unicorn pee” Movin’ Out. This one is from a collection all the way back in 2003 and has been resembled with the ever so wanted Clarins 230.
The picture really doesn’t do it justice. You can click on it to see it bigger.
It’s been a sunny day today and my boyfriend and myself took my brothers dog for a long walk and I was enjoying looking at those sparkling fingertips quite so often.
Thanks for looking! Hope to see you here again! 🙂
Let me know what you think!
