Hello Lacqueristas! I’m back! :)

I am finally back from my little get-away! I’ve had some really fabulous days with my mum, stepdad, brother, his wife and their two beautiful children.
I also got to meet up with 3 of my cousins and their families, 3 of my aunties and husbands, 2 cats, a couple of old friends and last but not least, theΒ archipelago! (I’m going to be honest and tell you I had to google translate that word, for those of you that are Norwegian, it means “skjΓ¦rgΓ₯rden”)

I have eaten a lot of watermelon, ice cream, “boller” (norwegian sweet buns/teabread) and fish, gotten sunburnt, bought one new nail polish and a pair of shoes, been in a small zoo, had two trips in our boat, taken hundreds of pictures, done a photo-job, five manicures and had ALOT OF FUN!

Whew! I think that summed up my days pretty well πŸ˜‰

So as you probably can tell, I have had quite a busy week and my nails haven’t really been the highest priority.. I have broken Β my index finger nail and my cuticles are drier than ever before…

The polish I show you today is from the day before I left. I present to you OPI I Lily Love You from the Nice Stems! Collection Summer 2011:

This is over IsaDora Glamour White that you can see on it’s own at Stine Marie’s blogg HERE.
I tested it and it looks exactly the same over a normal white polish. You don’t really notice the shimmer.

This is so beautiful! I wish, wish, WISH OPI would do more of these kind of polishes! πŸ™‚

Do you have any of the Nice Stems! polishes? What do you think?

Take Care everyone!
xx Karoline! πŸ™‚

Layering experiment with OPI Norwegian Salmon

Hello everyone! I am SO sorry I suddenly disappeared! And soon I will disappear again. But that’s summer I guess..

Today I want to show you what happened to OPI Norwegian Salmon after a day. I got kind of bored of the plain creme finish so I had to spice it up abit πŸ˜‰

I layered it with KleanColor Chunky Holo Poppy and then Essie Kisses And Bises on top of that.

And this is how it ended up! How pretty is that? πŸ™‚

Kisses And Bises is from the French Affair Collection from Spring 2011 Β and I have had it for quite some time, but haven’t tried it until now. It’s pretty boring on it’s own, but very pretty layered πŸ˜€

What do you think of this combination? Like it?

So, hope you’re all having a nice summer! I really hope you bear with me on my off days! I will be back stronger than ever soon πŸ™‚

Take Care!
xx Karoline πŸ™‚

My layering experiment with Essie Matte About You.

Hello everyone πŸ™‚

The other day when I posted my layering experiment with the 2 Golden Rose polishes and KleanColor Chunky Holo Black, I received a comment from a regular reader, Jane. She doesn’t have a blog yet, but I think she’s thinking about getting one πŸ˜‰

She suggested that it would look great with a matte top coat and seriously, as I was reading her comment something happened. I just completely stopped doing what I was doing and went and found my Essie Matte About YouΒ straight away. That’s the positive thing about posting what you’re wearing instead of posting it later. πŸ™‚

Ok, before I show you this picture I have to warn you about major tip wear, I was supposed to redo my nails that day, but just had to war them matte for a day πŸ™‚

How cool isn’t this? I must say, I am abit more fan of the shiny, glossy surface, but it is a cool change and a very good way to show you how all the glitter in there really looks like πŸ˜‰

What do you think? Which one was your favourite?

I’ll post the Norwegian Salmon later today πŸ™‚

Take Care!

KleanColor Chunky Holo Scarlet over OPI Off With Her Red

Oh, I must say I think I’m very creative with my titles! Haha πŸ™‚

Well, this is a mani I had last week, I haven’t been blogging for that long, so I don’t think any of you have gotten the feeling of actually knowing me, that you get after following a blog for a while, but I can say one thing; You very rarely see me in Pinks and Red. Im more of Purple, Blue and Green girl and sometimes an Orange and Coral girl πŸ˜›

So, this is one of the few times you get to see me wearing red:

This is 2 coats ofΒ OPI Off With Her Red from the Alice in Wonderland Collection from Spring 2010Β with 2 coats of KleanColor Chunky Holo Scarlet on top.

I’m now way over half way in my spreadsheet πŸ™‚ Spent 10 hours or so on it yesterday. So soon I will be able to share it with you if anyone is interested? And then you can also give me requests from the list if there’s anything you want me to show you.

I just got OPI Norwegian Salmon from Scandinavian Collection from all the way back in 1994!! I got it mainly because of the name, but it’s also a beautiful coral (salmon). I think that’ll be the next thing I’ll show you. It’s so old that even the print on the bottle is different.

Today we are going to celebrate Kenneth’s nephews 6 year old birthday and eat cake. Wohoo! πŸ˜€

Take Care everyone!

Layer marathon: KleanColor Chunky Holo Black over Golden Rose 166 over Golden Rose 194.

Hello everyone! What I’m going to show you today must be the most fab thing I’ve ever had on my nails and I’m not going to hide that it’s inspired of The Swatchaholic!

I have a new, very good friend who has started to get her nails done by me about once a week. And she just got back from Germany where she was in Berlin and some city in Poland and did a little nail polish shopping for me. The two Golden Rose polishes came from her, not sure where she bought them though.. Give me a shout if you’re interested and I’ll ask her! πŸ™‚

Well, let’s get to the nails, this is Golden Rose 194 by it’s own:

And here it is with Golden Rose 166 on top:

And now, the awesomeness! With KleanColor Chunky Holo Black on top of that:

This really deserved 3 pictures! Im in awe! And can’t get enough of looking at my nails! WOW πŸ˜€

The Golden Rose polishes were a dream to apply, the blue was a 2-coater and I had one coat of the glitter one. The glitter spread perfectly, not like some glitter polishes where you either get nothing or you get too much all lumped.
Apart from that the KleanColor polishes really STINK, they really are lovely. Great to apply, looks fantastic and dries pretty fast.

So, what do you think of this?

Take Care, everyone πŸ™‚

Gosh Lavender Love + KleanColor Chunky Holo Teal

Just a quick post to show you one of the header images.
I just couldn’t wait using it in the header, so now I of course have to show you.

As base I used Gosh Lavender Love which is a beautiful creme from Gosh’s Special Edition.

And here with KleanColor Chunky Holo Teal on top:

I think this turned out FANTASTIC! πŸ˜€ I have made a ring with the same polishes as well and off all the rings I’ve made there’s no doubt that’s my favourite so far at least.

God night everyone!

OPI Jade is the New Black + Ozotic Pro 502

Goooood Tuesday everyone!

Oh, god it was hard work getting out of bed and to work this morning after this lovely long weekend we’ve had here in Norway! πŸ˜›

Last night a girlfriend of mine came to visit. She lives in Halifax, Canada usually, so I only get to see her once or twice a year. Was soo nice to see her again! πŸ™‚

While she was here I painted my nails with OPI Jade is the New Black. I have had this for a while but never tried it before. Great application. Just like a typical OPI. I was supposed to layer it with Ozotic Pro 502 straight away, but I liked it so much that I just had to wear it on it’s own for a day:

I took this picture last night after my friend left about 22.00 and it was still light enough outside to take this picture and you get a true representation of the colour, but not enough light to get one of those clear pictures that I like πŸ˜›
As you can se on the bottle cap, it was rainy! Oh, what a summer we have!

Today, when I got home from work I had to try Ozotic Pro 502 on top as planned.
I received a pallet of stock today at work, so of course I had quite abit of tip wear and just couldn’t be bothered to paint the tips as I’m probably changing this again tomorrow if I know myself well enough.
So here you have it, with tip wear:

Isn’t this a beauty? I really like it on top of OPI Jade is the New Black as well.
I’ve got to get some more Ozotic Pro polishes! So far I’m very impressed!

Have a lovely evening peeps! Hope you enjoyed this post!?
Take Care!
xx Karoline.

Shatter sandwich.

Good evening everybody! Wow! Two posts in one day! Don’t get used to this. πŸ˜‰

When I wore Isa Dora Sky BlueΒ i read this blog post at The SwatchaholicΒ and just had to give it a go!

So I continued to sandwich OPI White Shatter with China Glaze Blue Iguana, which is a jelly, layered on top. Didn’t get a picture of this in very good lightning, but here’s the best one I got:
Β I love the result! And what I love even more that this gives us one more way to wear the shatter/crackle polishes.

What do you think? Is this a way you would wear your shatter/crackle polishes?

Take Care!
xx Karoline.

Layering OPI Russian Navy + Ozotic Pro 528

Hello everyone and good friday! It’s finally weekend! πŸ˜€

As promised I have Ozotic Pro 528 for you today. This is one amazing glitter/duochrome! My favourite polish of all times I think!
The polish is in a clear base with lots of glitter that changes from pink to green to purple to blue. Just absolutely fabulous!
I chose to layer it over OPI’s Russian Navy from the Russian Collection fall 2007.
This is a dark navy shimmer for those of you that’s not familiar with it.

Enough talking, here’s the picture:

LOOK AT THIS!! woha! I was lucky and managed to get one very good picture where you can see everything! Please click to enlarge it.
I have abit of tip wear as this picture was taken today after 2 days of wear.

For anyone interested, you can get Ozotic Pro nail polishes from Picture Polish, they ship internationally with not too bad shipping fee either.

Hope you enjoyed this!?

Take care and have a fantastic weekend!!
xx Karoline. πŸ™‚

NOTD: OPI Rumple’s Wiggin and Movin’ Out.

Last night a friend of mine came to visit me and to get her nails done. We had SO much fun! Can’t remember last time a night flew by that fast! πŸ™‚ Thanks Camilla!

After I did her nails and had eaten enough chocolate I got started on my own nails. I started with two coats of OPI Rumple’s Wiggin which I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of by it’s own as it was late and there was no daylight to take pictures in.
But here you have it with another two coats of OPI’s “unicorn pee” Movin’ Out. This one is from a collection all the way back in 2003 and has been resembled with the ever so wanted Clarins 230.

The picture really doesn’t do it justice. You can click on it to see it bigger.
It’s been a sunny day today and my boyfriend and myself took my brothers dog for a long walk and I was enjoying looking at those sparkling fingertips quite so often.

Thanks for looking! Hope to see you here again! πŸ™‚
Let me know what you think!

Take Care!
xx Karoline.
