Hello everyone! 🙂
Hope you’ve all had a nice weekend! Gosh, it went by very fast! My mum had her birthday yesterday and celebrating it both yesterday and today with barbeque and cakes and also a very good friend of us have finished her Masters Degree and invited us all to celebrate on saturday and she served cake as well. Wow! We’ve eaten alot!! haha..
I did a mani last night that ended up a disaster! haha.. I have to prepare myself for posting it! 😛 I didn’t have time last night, but today I redid my nails as soon as I had time and this time I tried out OPI’s Navy Shatter on top of China Glaze IDK from the OMG collection.
Funny how Blue Shatter ends up being the last one I’ll test out of the three blue-toned shatters from OPI..
Here you have beautiful China Glaze IDK on it’s own:
I think this is one of my favourite nail polishes. Well, at least a safe one. I’ll always love my nails wearing this one, so if I can’t decide what to wear I might put this one on! 🙂
And here with a coat of OPI Navy Shatter on top and then 2 coats with Seche Vite to seal it on top of that:
I’m happy with this one as well.. Haha, I feel like I’m saying that about everything lately! (Apart from my disastrous mani earlier this weekend)
There’s so many pretty colours and combinations! If only I had the time to change twice a day! (Thank god really, that wouldn’t be very nice to my nails..)
Hope you enjoyed this one!? 🙂
Any of you who have any of the China Glaze OMG polishes or OPI Shatters? If yes, which ones? 🙂
Have a great start on a new week everyone! 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
Good Friday everyone! Yay! It’s finally weekend, even though I was lucky and started my weekend when I got home from work yesterday! 😛
Of the 3 blue-toned OPI shatters I was most excited about Blue Shatter for some reason. But, when I saw them in real life there’s no doubt that Turquoise Shatter is my favourite! So it had to be the first one to get used.
I put it on top of one coat of OPI Mod About You with one coat of OPI Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry Collection on top.
Here you have Mod About You + Teenage Dream, a very cute combination that reminds me of candy floss:
The pictures are taken outside in daylight, but with rain and dark clouds in the air. No sun here in Stavanger! Just wondering when summer is going to start…
I really liked this combination on its own, proper girly-girl! 🙂
And now it’s time for the Turquoise Shatter:
I really enjoy this! It is certainly alot of fun 🙂 My niece loved them! 🙂
Too bad there’s no sun here, you should have seen how much this sparkles! But I guess anyone familiar with Teenage Dream knows that 🙂
So, what do you guys think of this? 🙂
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend! Hopefully a sunny one! 😉
xx Karoline 🙂
Hello everyone! 🙂
I am so happy today is a red day on the calendar. Me and Kenneth, my boyfriend, were in his nephew’s christening yesterday. A wonderful day with alot of impressions that also makes you very tired at the end. 🙂
Today I have OPI Mermaid Tears from The Pirates of the Caribbean Collection to show you. With a bit of a twist on how to use the Shatter polishes. I have done this alot with black shatter before I started this blog, sometimes with different angles on each nail. This time I chose to only use it on two accent fingers;
Hope you like it! 🙂
And have a great Monday everyone! 🙂
xx Karoline 🙂
Good evening everybody! Wow! Two posts in one day! Don’t get used to this. 😉
When I wore Isa Dora Sky Blue i read this blog post at The Swatchaholic and just had to give it a go!
So I continued to sandwich OPI White Shatter with China Glaze Blue Iguana, which is a jelly, layered on top. Didn’t get a picture of this in very good lightning, but here’s the best one I got:
I love the result! And what I love even more that this gives us one more way to wear the shatter/crackle polishes.
What do you think? Is this a way you would wear your shatter/crackle polishes?
Just a quick post before I’m going to bed. I have been working alot this week, did a double shift yesterday and even though I don’t usually start until 10, im not home before 17.30 on my normal days. That doesn’t give me many hours to have some food, chill and do my nails, nevertheless there’s no light to take pictures in. I loved my own pictures for the Isa Dora swatches that I did this weekend when I had a day off and it was sunny outside. I’ll take any chance I have on taking better pictures for you. 🙂
Anyhow, this is OPI Spark De Triomphe, a beautiful glitter polish!! 3 coats:
And with OPI White Shatter on top:
With Seche Vite on top.
Loved, loved, LOVED this combination!! 🙂 And got loads of compliments on this as well 🙂
Tonight I did my nails with Oztic Pro 528 with OPI’s Russian Navy underneath. Gorgeous! Will try and get some pics of this tomorrow.
Well, nightynight peeps!
Today I tried some of the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Collection polishes; Stranger Tides and Silver Shatter.
Here’s Stranger Tides on it’s own:
Creme Finish, Opaque in 2 coats, perfect application. I just love OPI!! ♥
Stranger Tides + Silver Shatter:
Shattered Silver Foil. I think this is probably nicer over a bit darker polishes, but it gives it a nice touch.
And then.. I have to admit I don’t think this is very “piraty” so I just had to add some black. OPI Black Shatter slanted tips;
Now we’re talking! I really liked the outcome of this mani! 🙂
What do you guys think?
Take Care everyone!
